Bodies, In Colour

These are some recent figure drawings by Thomas Hendry Life drawing sessions have shut down with the pandemic lockdowns, and I have much more free time on my hands at home. My favourite working process is life drawing in person. Online life sessions don't have as much of the human connection that working from an actual person brings. So I've been exploring other avenues of figure drawing. In particular, I'm interested in the self-representation people have been doing online. Particularly around body positivity and self-empowerment. The internet and camera technology allows for a much wider range of people to represent themselves. This in turn affords a broad opportunity to explore body diversity and working with colour media. I don't feel that art images of human bodies are de facto `adult content'. These images lean towards literal photographic representation, so rather than have them blocked by some algorithm on other platforms, I have elected to post them ...
